Returns & Exchanges

We want you to love your Epica purchase. If your order isn't exactly what you had in mind, we're here to help.

Most non-personalized products purchased directly from Epica may be returned, exchanged, upgraded, or downsized within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price, less any shipping charges.

To be eligible for a return, products must be returned in their original condition and, whenever possible, in their original packaging.

Please include your name, order number, and a brief note letting us know whether you would like a refund, exchange, or other assistance.

Return Shipping Costs

Unless a return is the result of our error or a verified manufacturing defect, customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

For international returns, including returns from outside the United States, customers are responsible for all shipping costs, duties, taxes, customs fees, and any other charges associated with returning merchandise to Epica.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return, exchange, refund, or cancellation once production has begun:

  • Personalized, monogrammed, embossed, engraved, or otherwise customized products
  • Made-to-order products
  • Special-order products
  • Wholesale transactions
  • Bulk or volume orders exceeding two (2) pieces of the same item

We encourage first-time customers to purchase a single item before placing larger or customized orders.

The only exceptions are products with verified manufacturing defects or errors made by Epica.

Natural Characteristics of Leather

Epica products are crafted from genuine leather and other natural materials. Variations in color, texture, grain patterns, scars, wrinkles, and other naturally occurring markings are inherent characteristics of authentic leather and contribute to the uniqueness of each piece. These natural variations are not considered defects and are not grounds for return or exchange.

European Union Customers

Customers located in the European Union may have certain rights under applicable consumer protection laws. However, personalized, customized, made-to-order, and goods produced to a customer's specifications are excluded from the EU right of withdrawal where permitted by law.

LIFETIME WARRANY

Limited Lifetime Warranty

Epica journals and photo albums are thoughtfully designed and handcrafted to last a lifetime. We proudly stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for eligible products purchased directly from Epica.

What Is Covered

This warranty covers defects in the two features that most distinguish an Epica handmade journal or photo album:

  • The cover (leather or other covering material)
  • The binding and structural integrity of the pages and spine

If either of these components fails under normal use due to a defect in materials or workmanship, Epica will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the product with the same item or a comparable item if the original is no longer available.

This warranty applies to both standard and personalized Epica journals and photo albums purchased directly from Epica.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic aging or the natural patina that develops in leather over time
  • Scratches, stains, discoloration, or fading caused by use
  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, neglect, improper storage, or improper care
  • Exposure to excessive moisture, humidity, heat, dryness, chemicals, or other environmental conditions
  • Damage resulting from modifications, alterations, or repairs performed by anyone other than Epica
  • Damage to paper caused by writing instruments, inks, water, or other external factors

While our journals are built to accompany life's adventures, prolonged exposure to extreme environments or significant physical impact falls outside the scope of normal use.

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

To begin a warranty claim, please email Info@epica.com with:

  • Your name
  • Your order number (if available)
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photographs showing the area of concern

In some cases, we may request that the product be returned for inspection before determining eligibility.

Limitation of Warranty

This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the product. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Epica shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, special, or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the product.
